Libby fell on a trampoline when she was playing with her cousins on Thanksgiving Day. The red spot below her left eye was the result. She also scraped her knee a little later in the day and she woke up that morning with a scratch across her nose. While we were waiting for everyone to gather to pray, she looked up at her cousin Kelsi and said, "This is the worst day ever!" Concerned, Kelsi asked Libby what she meant and she replied, "Well, first I hurt my eye and then I scratched my knee!" The next morning she scratched her nose-scrape again, so I stuck a band-aid on it. This was her response when she realized she didn't have a princess band-aid plastered on her face:

Thanksgiving Celebrations

The kids helped serve lunch at the Thanksgiving Senior Lunch my mom hosts each year at her job.

Libs passed out rolls.

Addison scooped the dressing.

The 3 passed out pieces of pie.

Day-Before-Thanksgiving Dinner with my mom's side of the family

Levi was a little clingy that night.... "Momma, Momma, Momma!" But, Natalie and Kate knew the way to his heart!

My side of the table, except you can't see much of my Meme.

The other side of the table, minus Kate and Natalie. You see why Bryan has nicknamed Libby "Busy" since she was able to make it into both sides of the table pictures. :)

Levi fussed and whined a lot that night. Libby moved around a lot that night. Addi sat patiently and ate her food that night.

Dessert and playtime at Meme and Papa's

Thanksgiving Day at Bryan's cousin's home

Most of the young cousins on the trampoline

The little ones perfectly content... A few minutes later one was on his way to the ER and another one had fallen flat back hitting her head on the tile. A couple hours later everyone was back and perfectly content again.
I guess after all that excitement I forgot to take any more pictures. I can only imagine my reaction had one of those emergencies actually happened to one of my kids. :)
Hope you had a relaxing Thanksgiving filled with many blessings.

I had auto-posted all my pictures for this week because I knew it would be so busy. Except I didn't. I didn't get past Wednesday, which is not something I should beat myself up over. (After all, my priority was spending time with my family this week.) But, Thursday was much more than Thanksgiving for us. It was also Bryan's birthday. He's officially in his mid-30s now, a fact I'm harping upon because I'm not in my mid-30s yet. :) I am truly thankful for my husband, my best friend, my partner, my children's father for the man he is and the man he strives to be. We love you, B and I promise next year your birthday day will be focused on you.

Don't let those crumbs all over the floor bother you. They were picked up in a matter of seconds. When we still lived in Raleigh, my friend Diane asked if I let Zoe come in after mealtimes to clean the floor. That was something I had never even thought of doing, but am I ever glad she mentioned it! Zoe is too! :)

Sunday was the perfect day for a bike ride with Daddy.

The kids love it when Bryan comes home from work early...especially if he changes his clothes and heads outside with them.

Even Zoe wanted in on the fun!

You should have heard their giggles. :)

No Mediation Needed

{coming inside after jumping on the trampoline}

Addi - No, I want to play Chutes and Ladders!

Libby - But, I want to play kitchen!

Addi - That's not fair because we played 2 things you wanted to play and we've only played 1 thing I've wanted to!

Libby - Well then, I'm just not going to play with you!

Addi - Fine! I'm going to throw your necklace in the trash!

Libby (with a smile on her face and the sweetest tone of voice you ever heard) - Why? I'm going upstairs to play Chutes and Ladders.

And they lived Happily Ever After...

Perhaps it's time for a lesson in the value of a dollar?!

I'm behind this week, which is nothing new, but that was my excuse to grab Sonic for lunch today. While we were waiting on our food, Libby suggested we have a picnic in our backyard. I know you might not think it from Libs outfit choice, but it's in the 70s...perfect picnic weather. (Ironically, she wore a sun dress and flip flops to walk Addi to school this morning when it was in the 50s!)

You can just see this picture would have been so cute if I'd actually looked at what I was taking a picture of and moved the cup!

And, this one would've been cute if Levi hadn't been trying to get away from Libby.

I'm sayin' this is a cute one even though Little Man has crumbs all over his cheeks.

Levi decided to share some grilled cheese with Zoe, which she gladly accepted.

And, then he shook his little finger in her face saying, "No! No! ZoZo!" Poor dog. :)
